A Quick Update

I know, Ive abandoned you guys and for that Im sorry. A few things to update you on before I get caught blogging when I should be working...blah!

1. For those that didnt know, Jordyn was sick for almost a week and I had to stay home with her for a few days. She was getting better when Bruce started getting sick. YAY! He had to go to the ER on Sunday because he sounded like crap and everytime he coughed it sounded like his insides were going to come out. He spent a total of 10 1/2 hours in urgent care and the ER. 4 1/2 of those hours I spent with him at the ER. Thank goodness I didnt have to work on Monday. So now he had to stay home from work for a few days and then I GOT SICK! Ugggggh. Turns out he has bronchitis and now that Im sick, I hope I dont get it. I feel like crap and Ive very tired, all the time.

2. Ive lost 20lbs so far! Dude Im totally stoked about that. 20lbs is 20lbs but it wasnt all at once, I cant even gauge and tell you when I started to lose weight, all I know is that from my heaviest this year Ive lost 20lbs. Im at a weight I havent been able to get to for many years. Ive always managed to lose 5-7lbs here and there but never more, it was my plateau. I didnt even really try, I owe it all to the 2 tournaments and all the games of softball Ive been playing in. Tournament #3 is this Sunday and I cant wait!

3. I got to see my aunt (dad's sister) whom I had not seen for 10 years! Last time I saw her was the first time I had ever met her and it was at my wedding back in March of 2000. It was the first time since I was 1yrs old that I had seen my father too, it was awesome. My aunt since then had moved from Alaska to California and just so happened to marry my childhood friend/play cousin Manu's uncle!!! How crazy is that? So we are officially related...by marriage..lol. I had my first ever yard sale a few weeks back and my aunt, my uncle, and my cousin Noah all drove out to surprise me at my yard sale!! OMG you should've seen my face when my uncle walked up to me on the lawn. I had always seen pictures of him so I knew who he was. As I was bending down fixing some of the items I had on a blanket I heard a man ask me, "excuse me, are all these items at a discount?" I was like WTH?!?! duhh its a yard sale and then looked up....OMG! He smiled and I smiled and I said, "wait....HEYYYYY!!!!" with an even bigger smile. He came over to me and hugged me and was it weird that it felt like I was hugging my dad? well it did, it just felt so nice to have met another family member from my dad's side. After our hug I looked over and saw my aunt and cousin Noah walking up with big smiles. I couldnt believe it, it was the best day ever!

If you know me you will know that Ive been desperate in my search to find my Samoan side of my family, to at least meet someone...anyone. I feel empty without knowing anyone from that side. I always had. My aunt and uncle live in Tustin now and made that long drive to Hawthorne and they even bought some things too! How awesome are they?!?! It was my first time meeting my cousin Noah. Funny thing is, I was 5 months pregnant with Jordyn at my wedding when my aunt was 2 months pregnant with Noah ha ha! I was the youngest cousin until him. Now my youngest cousin is 3 months younger than my daughter..lol too funny. They were both shy and lefties, I was completely shocked. He is soo handsome and I couldnt stop hugging and squeezing him. I didnt want any of them to go, I wanted them all to myself.

4. I had the best hit of my life at my last tournament 2 weeks ago. I mean I smashed that ball and burned my friend in left field. It was awesome, if only I can show you a video tape of how I smashed it like I was a dude...ahhhhhhhh lets see if I can do it again on Sunday...lol.

Thats it for updates..I think. Im totally sick and want to go back to sleep and its only 8:34am?!?!? WTH man...IM OUT!

I GIVE UP!

Okay well I got as far as Day 11 on my blog challenge and Ive obviously given up....my body is sore every day from all the softball Ive been playing, tournaments included so needless to say, Im not in the mood for the blog challenge...SUE ME!
